7 – 7:30 pm   Load equipment truck – go home and go to bed at a decent time!

Saturday

12:30 pm         Arrive THS in uniform incl. black pep tee, black socks and marching shoes (waterproofed and polished !!). Full uniform (minus shako) will be worn on the bus. Check for shako, plume, and instrument. Bring lots of warm and dry extra clothes!!

12:45 pm           In the band room, dressed and ready !! Everyone, please use the toilet before we leave! Load the bus in order (seniors, drumline, auxiliary, jr, so, fr)

1:00 pm             Leave

1:45 pm             Arrive McKenzie Stadium – unload very quickly. Large winds, pit, drumline, auxiliary w/ McKee

2:10 pm             Line up w/ instruments ready to go to warm-up area

2:15 – 3:30       Warm-up

3:40 am            Ready Gate

3:50 pm          Showtime !!

4:10 pm          Listen to staff, then change your clothes – put your uniform away CAREFULLY but quickly! Stow your instrument/equipment correctly!

4:30 pm           Awards!

4:45 pm          Snacks!                                                                                                             

5:00 pm - ??    Get dressed

5:00 pm          Warm-up

6:00              Ready Gate

6:10ish              Showtime !!

6:20 pm          Change your clothes/load truck

After truck loading        Dinner, purchased from Evergreen Band Boosters!

7:30 pm             Awards!!

9:00 pm          Arrive at THS – unload truck - go home!!

Directions to McKenzie Stadium

·                             Travel  I-5 North to I-84 East to I-205 North, across the Columbia River

·                             Take Exit 28A Mill Plain Blvd. East

·                             Turn RIGHT onto Mill Plain Blvd.

·                             Travel east – turn LEFT onto SE 136^th Avenue

·                             Travel north (road becomes NE 138^th Avenue)

·                             Turn RIGHT onto NE 18^th Street – Evergreen High School is on the LEFT

Remember, you come with the band, stay with the band,

and go home with the band. No going off-site for any purpose.

Parents, please do not tell your student to

wait until they are finished to call you.

We’re with your student all day, and when our evening is over

we don’t want to have to wait for you to arrive!  J

9:20 – 10:50   Warm-up

10:53 am           Ready Gate

11:03 pm         Showtime !!

11:20 pm         Listen to staff, then change your clothes – put your uniform away CAREFULLY but quickly! Stow your instrument/equipment correctly!

11:45 – 2:30 pm   In the stands, watching bands (grab some string cheese on the way)

2:45 pm            Awards!                                                                                                            

3:30 pm             Eat linner!  (Hot linner may be purchased from the Band Boosters for $6 - what a deal!)       

5:00 pm - ??    Get dressed

5:45 pm - ??    Warm-up

6:45ish - ??     Ready Gate

7:00ish - ??      Showtime !!

Parents can call the Band Hot Line (503-431-3532) after 4:00 pm to find out about our prelim result, 

and after 10:15 pm to firm up THS arrival time.

Sunset Marching Classic - tentative information

Hello! 

The Sunset Marching Classic is our 1st competition of the season, on October 8 - yay!

Here is the tentative outline of the day:

• Friday evening - load equipment trailer/truck after THS/TuHS football game
• 8:10 am Saturday - arrive at THS (dressed and ready)
• 10:53 am - ready gate 
• 11:03 am - SHOWTIME!!
• 2:45 pm - Prelim awards
• 3:30 pm - Linner is served
• 6:45-7:15ish - SHOWTIME!!
• 9:45 pm - Finals awards
• 10:45 pm - Arrive THS - unload trailer/truck and GO HOME!

And by the way, parents, please do not tell your student to 

wait until they are finished unloading to call you.

Sunset Classic Schedule of Events

PSAT Information! (Marching Band only)

Hello! Here are the details and the list of MB folks signed up for the Wednesday October 12 PSAT, administered at La Salle High School in Milwaukie. We provide this (with gracious cooperation from the good folks at La Salle) as a service to those who would otherwise have to miss the PSAT because of the McKenzie Classic in Vancouver on October 15. 

• Cost: $20 (payable by check to La Salle High School)
• Payment Deadline: Monday October 3 - give checks DIRECTLY to McKee
• Date: Wednesday, October 12
• Transportation: carpool or individual parents - perhaps one parent carpools one way and another, the other! YOU work it out (not McKee).
• Time: Arrive at La Salle High School no later than 7:30 AM - finish by 11 AM
• Directions to La Salle: 
• Take I-5 South to I-205 North
• Travel approx. 13 miles to Exit 13 (82nd Ave) 
• Travel approx. 1.3 miles and turn LEFT on SE Harmony Road
• Travel approx. 0.4 miles and take the 2nd RIGHT on SE Fuller Road
• La Salle High School is at 11999 SE Fuller Road, Milwaukie OR
• Late arrivals will not be seated - there are no refunds for not attending.
• DO NOT BE LATE! LEAVE TIGARD EARLY, TO AVOID TRAFFIC ISSUES!
