Our girls took care of business Wednesday evening and beat those pesky Eagles, and now it's time to take on Jesuit - yay! The game is Saturday and call time is 6pm. BE THERE!

We're So Excited! We Just Can't Hide It!


Basketball playoffs at Tigard High, tonight! Yay!
Call time is 5pm, so come dressed in pep attire and be ready to provide great musical support for the Tigers as they take on those Eagles from Centennial, and we'll have a great time!
[BTW, if you're working concessions, be here by 4:45 so we can get set up in a hurry]

Playoffs Are (Almost) Here!

Yes boys and girls, the basketball playoffs will be here next week. Yay! Our boys' team will play at a school that is not Tigard - at least in the 1st round - but our girls' team will host on Wednesday February 27 and again on Saturday March 2. Whoo hoo!

What does this mean for us? Two things:
  1. We will sell many, many concessions to hungry and happy basketball fans - what a great thing this will be. Money for our program. 
  2. We will pep, pep, pep to support our most excellent basketball team - yay!
Signups for concessions will be posted on the wall outside Irving's office. We will need students and adults, just as in the regular season. Adults can sign up by sending an email to McKee.

Pep information (call time, expectations, etc) will come from Irving. As soon as he announces, information will also be posted here. Stay tuned.

Basketball Playoffs - Coming Soon!

Both of our Varsity basketball teams are doing so well this year! They will both be in the playoffs, which will be coming in another couple of weeks. 

WATCH THIS SPACE for information about additional home games (that means both concessions AND pep) and for Rose Garden playoffs, which means ROAD TRIP!!!

Tomorrow (Feb. 9) is the Percussion Premiere at Evergreen High School in Vancouver. Kids are ready, staff is ready - but we have a couple of serious and important jobs to fill.

  1. We MUST have someone drive the Band Truck up and back. Without our truck, we have no equipment. Our truck is a rehabilitated 24' U-Haul and is very easy to operate. If you have experience driving an RV, a box van, or something similar, this is the job for you. (But if the biggest thing you've ever driven is a mini-van, this IS NOT the job for you)  As a "thank you!", the truck driver gets a paid admission.
  2. We MUST have a parent ride as a chaperon on the bus. TTSD requires it, the bus company requires it. The nice thing is, the bus chaperon doesn't have to worry about gas, and gets a paid admission.
The truth is that, if these positions are not filled, we will have to stay home tomorrow and cancel our performances. Not a threat, just the facts.

NWAPA Percussion Premiere at Evergreen!

It's time for our Winter Drumline to show everyone what we've got - yay! Check out the page on the sidebar - it should have all the information you need.
And now a word for the adults:
We need to have a brief meeting Thursday evening, to make sure everyone knows how the Winter season will progress. 8:30pm, THS Library. Done in time for you to pick up your WDL student and take them home. Yay. And if your student is a WG kid, then look at this as an opportunity to get out of the house for a brief period of time. Again, yay.

RhythmFest! It's Here!!!

It's time for RhythmFest - yay! 
  • Check the pages listed on the sidebar and see when YOU work. 
  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your shift. 
  • Wear the Safety Green RF shirt if you have it. If you don't have one, we'll get you one when you arrive.
  • Check in at the Communications Center near the Counseling Office. 
  • Adults are highlighted in GREEN.  
  • Many adults are still needed. Please check the pages to see when and where, and text or email McKee to sign up.
And above all, remember to be a great host, representing the THS Band Program!!
