Saturday was SUCH a good day!

Now that we've performed in our 1st show of the season, we have a better idea of what to expect, and what we need to do moving forward.

Please, make sure your adults know that we will continue to have 5-8pm rehearsals on Mondays, and 5-8:45 rehearsals on Wednesdays.

See you at rehearsal!

BAND CAMP IS THIS WEEK!!! HOORAY!

 BAND CAMP STARTS THIS THURSDAY!!!

So, here's what you need to know:

  • Band Camp starts at 8:30 and ends at noon. (We actually DO start at 8:30, so be there early. Doors open at 8)
  • We meet in the Band Room.
    • [But McKee - How do we get there??
      • Come to the front of the school, and walk to the left. Come through the black gate and the Band Room is right there. Please DON'T come through the hallway - our terrific maintenance staff is still finishing up their work and we don't want to interfere. Just use our outside entrance.
  • Make sure to eat before you come - real food, not just sugar. And drink water. Marching Band is a very physical activity, and your body needs good food and hydration.
  • Check the previous post about what to bring.

And make sure your adults know about the Pizza Picnic that's coming up on Friday.

CLICK HERE  for the Pizza Picnic invite. (Any trouble accessing the RSVP? Here's a direct link: RSVP LINK)

  • Please check your email for an email from McKee, sent out Wednesday July 12. LOTS of info for you!

And check out this classic, sung by the First Lady of Song herself, Ella Fitzgerald. Talk to you soon!

CANCELED!!

Well, snow days are fun, but icy roads mean activities also get canceled. As of noon on Friday, many roads in our area are still quite icy, and even though there will be a few hours of above-freezing temperatures this afternoon, it will drop overnight to 20 degrees (!) and that means that any surfaces that are damp will re-freeze. So we WILL NOT be going to South Albany this weekend.

So we will see everyone for our regular rehearsals next week, and learn more music as we get ready for the show in March. Meanwhile, stay safe in the cold and ice - see you next week!
