2.        Bring a water bottle!

3.        String bags or backpacks are a good idea.

4.        There are concessions available, but they are expensive. Feel free to bring $$ for a burger, nachos, pizza, or hot dog, but it’s a good idea to also being some reasonable snacks– nuts, yogurt, cheese and crackers, sandwich, etc. Maybe some hummus. Yogurt-covered pretzels. Jerky or pepperoni sticks.

5.        Bring extra warm clothing! It will be chilly, especially after the sun goes down.

6.        Some people will bring a fleece blanket.

7.        Socks are your friends. And stretchy gloves. Shoes for function, over fashion,

Polite and responsible band students will do the following while at field shows (these are non-negotiables):

1.        Keep your possessions tidy and together in the stands.

2.        Assist when asked.

3.        Express gratitude to the adults (parents, bus drivers, and staff) who help make this all happen.

4.        Place all garbage – water bottles, plates and cups, trash, etc –into trash containers.

5.        Spend your time in the stands, except when you have permission to go to the restroom or the concession stand. – not wandering about or in other places.

6.        Go about in groups of 3 or more – no lone rangers or couples. Including super-sophisticated folx who may feel they are too cool to need rules. Groups of 3. Or bigger groups.

7.        There may be an opportunity to go into the lot to watch groups go through their warmups. If so, be aware you are guests when you are watching them. No messing around.

8.        No snuggling under blankets with your sweet someone, on the bus, in the stands, or anywhere. This is a performance field trip, not a date. PDA makes those around you uncomfortable, and we are ‘way too polite to make others uncomfortable.

9.        Act appropriately with significant others and toward all people – as noted above, do not cause those around you to feel uncomfortable with your actions

10.     Cheer on all the bands, and be a positive “billboard” for the Tigard and Fowler band programs.

11.     When we get ready to go to the bus to go home, leave no trace we have been there.

12.     Leave the bus clean and tidy, with windows fully closed.

Remember, you come with the band, stay with the band,

and go home with the band. No going off-site for any purpose.
