We're Gonna Be On TV!!!

Hey Band! (hey, what?!?)

KATU will highlight the Tigard/Lakeridge football game on Friday October 24, with the winning team hosting the High School Blitz that night - and that winning team SHOULD be the Tigard Tigers! We will be the in-house band for this live TV show, so here are the details:
  • High School Blitz airs live at 11:30 pm, immediately following the 11:00 News. The show ends at midnight. We will play the Fight Song, Celebration, and other fun tunes as we play the show in and out of commercial breaks.
  • Call time will be 11:00 pm. Pep shirts will be worn.
  • An optional Band Movie Night will take place in the Band Room during the evening, beginning at 8:00 pm. Details to follow - watch this space!
  • Friday October 24 is a no-school day (the 2nd day of conferences).
  • THS Marching Ensemble WILL have rehearsal that day. 10:00 am - 2:30 pm.
  • THS Marching Ensemble WILL compete at the Century Showcase the next day.
  • This is not a required performance, but there WILL be an incentive sign-in sheet for all participating band members. And besides, we get to be on TV!!! Of course you want to be there!
  • It will be LOTS OF FUN!!
The only uncertainty about this performance is that we will not be absolutely sure about hosting until the game is decided, because the winning team is the host and there is a remote possibility that the winner might be Lakeridge. But that is not likely. As soon as the outcome is certain, we will post the information here and on Facebook.
