Here It Is - What We've Been Waiting For!!


OK friends, Band Camp begins tomorrow! What should you do??
  • Go drink some water, right now
  • Call someone not on the current MB list and convince them to come join us
  • Get some good sleep tonight
  • Drink some water when you get up
  • Eat breakfast (that means food, not a latte or frappuccino)
  • Drink some more water
  • Wear athletic-type clothing that is school-appropriate
  • Wear closed-toed shoes, not flip flops
  • Pack a good, healthy lunch - and bring a few good snacks, too
  • Drink a little more water
  • Bring your instrument or other MB equipment
  • Bring/apply sunscreen
  • Bring water (duh!)
  • Arrive at the THS Band Room between 8:30 and 8:45 am
  • Be ready to have a really good time!

How Are YOU Getting Ready For Marching Band??

Band Camp is in less than two weeks - yay! Now's the time to make sure you're physically ready. Here are some things you can do:
  • If you've been sitting around, get out and walk every day for 30 minutes
  • If you've been somewhat active, run/walk every day for 30 minutes
  • If you've been active, work running into your routine
  • Make sure to eat a good balance of food, incorporating carbs, proteins, and healthy fats
  • Phase out soda and "energy" drinks - go for water and the occasional Gatorade
  • And make sure you and your equipment are good friends - your lips/hands/shoulders/legs/back will thank you!

We're Talking About Disneyland!

Irving and McKee are making calendar plans, and we need some information about Spring Break week and the Disney trip. We realized our preferred weekend for the trip includes Easter Sunday. We need to know RIGHT AWAY if this would be a problem for you and cause you to not be able to participate in the Disney trip. BurgerFest!!

We're going to the Tualatin Crawfish Festival, and we're introducing BurgerFest
 (Wait - what? What is BurgerFest??)
BurgerFest is our new fundraising endeavor, and it should be lots of fun. We're going to be selling hot and juicy burgers, including our famous Cajun Burger. The crowd will go wild for our burgers! And we need YOU to help out.

The Chuck Wagon will be open for business Saturday August 1 from 10am - 10pm, and Sunday August 2 from 10am to 5:30pm. For each 4 1/2 hour shift we need 3 students and 1-2 adults.
