BBX Tourney Concessions - Snacks and Drinks Only!!
Here's who's working Monday December 29:
Students: McKenzie Mc; Evan K; Emmet M; Jacob R
Adult: Diana M
3:30 - 8 ish PM.
Now, about Tuesday. The only person signed up right now is Julia P. This is a bit problematic - we need at least one other student and one adult. Same hours as Monday. Who is willing to come work? There may be a little added incentive, since it's in the middle of the break and no one is super-excited to come and do school-type things during the break. So, who's in? It can even be a shifting of someone from Monday to Tuesday. Hurry - this needs to be decided right away! No, really - TONIGHT.

It's Time For GBX/BBX Concessions!
This week we begin the 2014-15 GBX/BBX Concessions fundraiser. We are
the sole basketball concessionaire at Tigard High, and each student who
is associated with our program (including MB, WDL, and WG) is required
to work at least one evening. All proceeds fund the general band
program. Signups were first made available at the November Band Booster
meeting and have been outside Irving and McKee's office ever since. So
far, this week's shifts are posted on the sidebar at
mckeesfabulousforum.com - the rest will go up by the end of the week. To
see the details of any shift, click on the title of the game and you'll
see who is scheduled.
At least one adult is required by school administration and band policy to be present for each shift. This is a safety requirement; students are dealing with money and food preparation and adult supervision is essential. Right now, we have three shifts this week, and we need to have an adult step up to work Thursday December 4. There are clear directions posted for operating and running the stand, and McKee will be there at the beginning to answer your questions. Please email McKee below right away if you can do this - if we don't have an adult, we will not be able to open, which will cause us to lose several hundred dollars and possibly put our contract with the Athletic Program in jeopardy. The nice thing about doing it this week? You'll get it out of the way for the year! Yay!
Can YOU be the one to help this Thursday? Click on the link below and sign up! :)

WOW!!!
And while we were napping, Central Catholic ate the Sheldon Irish for dinner, finishing their meal with a score of 65-21. So we will meet Central next weekend in a battle of #1 and #2, back at Hillsboro Stadium. Kickoff will be at 1pm on Saturday December 6. We'll be putting together a schedule over the next couple of days - just assume we'll be heading out sometime around 11am or so. Meanwhile, enjoy the rest of your long weekend, and check this space for more information!

FINAL FOUR!! (Look Out, Titans - We're Coming For You!)
It took Tigard High Football THREE overtimes to beat that great Jesuit Crusader team - what a game!!! And now, we're in the Final Four! It's Central Catholic vs Sheldon, and Tigard vs West Salem, to see who will play for the 6A Championship!!
A small problem - because of pretty significant venue problems, the Final Four games will have to be played Friday. As in, Black Friday. And the Tigard/West Salem game kicks off at noon, at Hillsboro Stadium.
Here's where it gets complicated: we will be marching in the Macy's Holiday Parade in downtown Portland that morning. So it's going to be a busy, busy day! We're working on the schedule, including what time to eat, what/where to eat, how/where/when to change from our formal uniform into something that will keep us warm and toasty during the game, and everything else.
Watch this space for updates - and get ready for a great day-after-Thanksgiving band extravaganza!!

Elite Eight!
Tigard High Football has made the Elite Eight and it's time for Quarterfinals! The game this week is against the Jesuit Crusaders - a tough opponent, to be sure, but our guys are tougher! THS is ranked #2, and the Crusaders are ranked #7. It should be a great game!
Call time for pep is 6pm. Since the Jazz Band has a gig at Twality Friday evening, it's super-important for everyone else to be here to pep - we need to support our guys! So come dressed for cold and wet weather and we'll pep our hearts out for THS Football!

It's Gonna Be COLD!
When Tigard Football takes on the Sunset Apollos this Friday, the game time temperature is forecast to be 32 degrees. As in, freezing our baguettes off (nod to "Christmas Vacation").
So it is IMPERATIVE that you wear lots of warm clothes! Warm and lined pants and turtlenecks with polypro or waffle-weave underneath, sweaters, wool socks, heavy jackets, toasty hats, earmuffs, etc etc etc. Something to sit on is a good idea, too. We'll have handwarmers for you, and we'll see if we can get some hot chocolate going too.
And we'll hope to jump up and play the fight song a lot too! Be ready for Eye O' the Tiger for the Tigerettes, plus lots of pep, pep, pep tunes. Call time is 6pm - be there!
Yay band team!
