Let's GOOOOOO!

 

GREAT start to WDL on Saturday! You all did good work with Rene' and her techs, and that got us off to a good start. Now here's what happens next:

• WG is rehearsing tonight, Monday Feb. 21
• WG and WDL are both rehearsing Wednesday Feb 23 (WDL, you get to meet Johnny!)
  
• THIS SATURDAY Feb 26 is the South Albany Indoor Showcase. 
• WG is performing
• WDL is attending, to support WG and to watch drumlines 
• Any WDL who CANNOT attend, let McKee know right away - we have to make sure to have enough food (yay for food!)
•  The schedule for Saturday is on the sidebar (look at it right now)
• Also, read Smart Winter Guard and Drumline Students, so you know what we do 

Last thing - remember to bring the signed Acceptable Use Policy form back to McKee when you come next.

WINTER DRUMLINE IS STARTING - FINALLY!!

Tigard Winter Drumline Starts

This Saturday!

February 19, 2022 – 

11am - 2pm 

So what’s the Tigard WDL all about?

·       It’s a great music opportunity, open to middle and high school music  students, presented by the Tigard High Band Boosters

·       It’s an opportunity to improve your percussion skills, or to learn percussion if you normally play something else!

·       It’s a good way to get ready to join the Fall Marching Band!

·       It WILL make you a better musician!

·       And it’s tons of fun!

 

What are the details?

·       We rehearse at Tigard High School

·       Our first rehearsal is Saturday Feb. 19

·       Our regular rehearsals are Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning Wednesday Feb. 23

·       We have performances tentatively scheduled for March 5 and April 2

·       We have a listening/viewing trip scheduled for February 26, to watch some of the best drumlines in the Northwest

OK friends - we've been OK'd to start having winter marching rehearsals, so LET'S GET GOING!!

And there's room for more! So come, and bring friends! There is NO FEE to join - yay! Here are the details:

• 1st meeting is Wednesday Feb 2, 4:30 - 7:30
  
• Meet in the Band Room
• Wear clothes that are easy to move in 
• Make sure to eat a nutritious snack between the end of school and rehearsal
• ALWAYS bring water!

Did I mention you should BRING FRIENDS?? Please, let folx know that previous experience IS NOT required and all genders are welcome. Guard is for everyone!
