SUNSET MARCHING CLASSIC

Sunset High School - Beaverton OR

Friday

9:30am – 1:30pm    MB rehearsal

After                 Load equipment in trucks. This week’s loading crew is pit and brass.

Saturday

7:45 am           Arrive THS in black pep tee, appropriate shorts/leggings/etc, black socks and marching shoes (waterproofed and polished!!). Bring warm and dry extra clothes. Jackets. Gloves. Hats. And socks.

8:00 am           Eat a nifty snack (thanks, Band Boosters!)

8:15 am           Uniform up. Full uniform will be worn on the bus. Check for instrument and equipment. Load uniform racks

8:35 am           In the band room, dressed and ready !! Everyone, please use the toilet before we leave. Load the bus in order (seniors, drumline, auxiliary, jr, so, fr/8th)

8:45 am           Leave

9:05 am           Arrive Sunset High School.  Unload very quickly in full uniform. Large winds, pit, drumline, auxiliary to the trucks

9:25 am           Line up w/ instruments ready to go to warm-up area

9:35 – 10:55 am   Warm-up

11:16 am         Ready Gate

11:26 am         Showtime !!

11:50 am         Change your clothes – put your uniform away CAREFULLY! Stow your instrument correctly! Grab some cheese - head to the stands

12:45 –2:00 pm   In the stands, watching bands.

2:05 pm           Awards!                              

2:45 pm           Linner! (Hot linner will be provided by the Band Boosters  - what a deal!)

3:30 pm           Short sectionals – work on what can be better for the next performance

4:00 pm           Get dressed

4:15 pm           Warm-up

4:45/5ish pm        Ready Gate

4:45/5ish pm        Showtime !!

5:?? pm            Change your clothes/load truck

After loading    Dessert! And maybe more cheese! Then go to the stands, to watch more bands

7:05 pm           Awards!

8:30 pm         Arrive at THS – unload truck - go home

                                    

Directions to Sunset High School

·         Travel northbound  on Hwy 217– merge LEFT onto US 26 W

·         Travel approx. 2 miles – take EXIT 67/Murray Blvd.

·         Turn RIGHT onto Murray Blvd.

·         Travel less than ½ mile – turn LEFT onto Cornell Rd.

·         Sunset High School is on the LEFT

                                                            

Remember, you come with the band, stay with the band,

and go home with the band. No going off-site for any purpose.
