U of O Fessstival of Bands/NWAPA Championships!

Friday

5:30 pm                   Everyone arrive THS – bring personal luggage.

3^rd Quarter  - THS vs TuHS     Pit loads equipment

9:30 pm-ish             Load remainder of equipment. This week’s loading crew is percussion and brass. Load buses – including personal luggage. Leave for Eugene/Springfield

11:30-ish                 Arrive Comfort Suites - Springfield

                                Quickly and quietly get room assignments – go to rooms

Midnight                 Lights out – go to sleep!

Saturday

6:30 am                   Up!

6:55 am                   At breakfast area in partial uniform incl. pep tee, black socks and marching shoes (waterproofed and polished) – leave jacket in room. Eat a tasty breakfast, keeping in mind that we are not the only folks who will be eating. We are always polite, and kind.

7:35 am                   At the bus, dressed and ready !! Everyone, please use the toilet before we leave! Wear your jacket. Bring everything else you need for your show.

7:45 am                    Leave Comfort Suites.

8:05 am                    Arrive Autzen Stadium – unload very quickly.  Stow gear correctly.

8:30 am                    Line up w/ instruments ready to go to warm-up area

8:56 – 9:48 am        Warm-up

9:53 am                    Ready Gate

10:06 am                  Showtime !!

10:24 am                 Photo time!

10:50 am                 Back on the bus – return to hotel

11:05 – 11:35 am    Change into street clothes – stow uniform CAREFULLY. Stow gear CAREFULLY.

11:45 – 1:30 pm      Time for lunch! Eat in incredibly polite groups at one of the chosen restaurants – be nice and tip well.          

1:45 pm                   Back on the bus!

2:00 pm                   In the stands, watching bands

4:25 pm                    Awards!        

4:40 pm                   CHEESE! And maybe apples!!  

5:00 pm - ??            Get dressed – warm up

6:00ish pm              Ready Gate

6:00ish pm              Showtime !!

6:?? pm                   Change your clothes/load truck

After truck loading    End-of-Season Party, including dinner! (Hot dinner will be provided by the Band Boosters - how nice!)

After dinner            In the stands, watching bands

10:00 pm                 Awards!!                      

12:45 am                 Arrive at THS –unload, and go home!!

Directions to Autzen Stadium

Ø  I-5 South to Exit 194B (I-105W)

Ø  Take Exit 2 (Coburg Road) – take a SOFT left at the intersection (not a hard left!) –

Ø  follow less than 1/4 mile

Ø  Turn Left on Country Club Road - follow approx. ½ mile

Ø  Turn Right at Centennial Blvd/Martin Luther King Jr Blvd

Ø  Autzen Stadium is approx ½ mile on the Right

Remember, you come with the band, stay with the band,

and go home with the band. No going off-site for any purpose.
